Poe, Cayetano, Villar top May 2019 Senatorial survey – Pulse Asia

Pollster Pulse Asia Research Inc. released the latest survey on voters’ preferences for the May 2019 Senatorial elections.
Senator Grace Poe remains the front-runner, followed by Representative Pia Cayetano and Senator Cynthia Villar.
The so-called winners’ circle if elections were held during the survey period include
1st place: Senator Grace Poe (67.4%)
2nd place: Rep. Pia Cayetano (55.7%)
3rd to 5th places: Senator Cynthia Villar (50.1%), Davao City Mayor Sarah Duterte-Carpio (46.2%) and Senator Sonny Angara (41.9%)
5th to 12th places: Former Senator Jinggoy Estrada (37.9%), BuCor Chief Ronald Dela Rosa, Senator Koko Pimentel (37.7%) and Senator Nancy Binay (37.1%)
6th to 13th places: Former Senator Serge Osmena (36.6%), Former Senator Lito Lapid (36.2%), Senator JV Ejercito (35.6%)
10th to 16th place: Senator Bam Aquino (32.1%)
Several key developments that dominated the headlines during the conduct of the survey include the ouster of Maria Lourdes Sereno as Chief Justice, the indictment of former President Noynoy Aquino for usurpation of budgetary powers of Congress in connection with his approval of the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP); and the start of the regional consultations on the draft federal charter.
The survey was conducted from June 15 to 21, 2018.
