In all Swedishness: Volvo celebrates Swedish National Day

Volvo once again joined the festivities during the celebration of Sweden’s National Day in the Philippines. Held at the magnificent ballroom of the Grant Hyatt Manila, Volvo Philippines joined their Swedish family in observing the national day of Volvo’s home country.

The event -- aptly titled “Swedishness” -- highlights the multifaceted aspects of Sweden’s modern society, culture, and way of life. The event presented a wonderful  opportunity for Filipinos to get to know Sweden along with Swedish brands, companies, and products.

Swedish inventions and other exhibits from the Swedish Institute such as Patterns of the Bioshphere and Feminist Foreign Policy were on display. The 2018 World Car of the Year – the Volvo XC60 SUV – also stood proudly amongst its Swedish kin. A showcase of equally innovative and sustainable Swedish products were also present, delighting esteemed guests. Sumptuous Swedish food and lively Swedish music added to the effervescent mood of the evening.
