VW holds Simul VWorld weekend in Taguig and Cebu

For car enthusiasts, Volkswagen lovers, and prospective car buyers who missed their chance to view, test drive, and purchase some of the German marque’s bestselling vehicles last Christmas, here’s one more chance. Volkswagen Philippines returns to the upscale leisure complex Uptown Parade on 38th Street corner 9th Avenue in Taguig City this April 14 and 15 for the summer 2018 edition of the “VWorld Weekend.”
And for those living in the Visayas regions who pine for a taste of the action, the “VWorld Weekend” will come to them, on the same dates at Volkswagen Cebu showroom located at A. Soriano Avenue in Cebu City.
The “VWorld Weekend” couldn’t have been held at a better time this summer break, when every member of the family can be together and come as one to be treated to displays, test drives, and purchase opportunities for the Jetta sedan Comfortline and Highline variants, the Golf GTS Highline, and the Tiguan compact SUV, as well as tempting discounts on select Volkswagen genuine accessories and lifestyle items.
Volkswagen Philippines’ bestselling sedan, the Jetta Comfortline and Highline variants, are still offered at the pre-excise tax rates of P1,100,000 and P1,200,000, respectively. The Jetta, dubbed the sedan “Made for Everyday Living” with its stylish looks, feature-packed amenities, and remarkable comfort features, is the only diesel model in its segment, powered by a 2.0-liter Turbocharged Direct Injection (TDI) diesel engine mated to a 6-speed DSG transmission system, that generates 150 PS of power at 3,500-4,000 rpm and a class-leading 340Nm of torque at 1,750-3,000 rpm.
The Golf GTS (Grand Touring Sport) wagon body style carries the DNA of the original Golf, which has sold over 30 million units in seven generations of production, but offers 350 liters more cargo space than its hatchback version. The GTS wagon style is ideal for those who love the power and performance the Golf has been known for over the years, yet still value the comfort and space of a wagon. The Golf GTS Highline is powered by the 4-cylinder, in-line 2.0 TDI diesel engine mated to the 6-speed DSG transmission system, and generates 150 PS of power at 3,500-4,000 rpm, and class-leading maximum torque of 340 Nm at 1,750-3,000 rpm. It is competitively priced at P1,430,000.
The 5-seater Tiguan compact SUV is ideal as the go-anywhere SUV that packs a mean punch with its 1.4-liter, 4-cylinder Turbocharged Stratified Injection (TSI) engine mated to a 6-speed direct shift gear (DSG) transmission. The powerplant generates a maximum output of 150 Ps at 5,000 rpm and torque of up to 250 Nm at 3500 rpm. And despite its adventurous nature, the Tiguan is laden with safety, comfort, and infotech features for all members of the family. The Tiguan is available at P2,259,000.
