Pinay stabbed to death in California murder-suicide

A Filipina in Southern California was found dead a day after Christmas due to stabbed wounds believed to have been inflicted by her husband, who also stabbed himself to death afterward, reports said.
A report on CBS Los Angeles said Baldwin Park police officers found the bodies of the two while conducting welfare check.
The Coroner's office identified the male victim as Albert Ong, according to a report on Baldwin Park Patch. Relatives identified the female body as that of 25-year-old Blessel Ong.
Citing Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter, the CBS Los Angeles report said the woman was believed to be a victim of homicide and the man is believed to have killed himself.
Probers said the couple have a history of domestic violence, according to the Patch report, citing Deputy Sara Rodriguez of the Sheriff's Information Bureau. Blessel Ong's family and friends are trying to raise funds to bring her body to the Philippines.
